COURTNEY BARNETT

Shes a psychedelic folk rock singer songwriter who plays guitar and started her own label named Milk!Records at just 25. Originally from Melbourne, Courtney Barnett writes about panick attacks, and with lyrics like "the people went  to arty school, they made their paint by using acid wash and lemonade" and "we drank three Margaritas, danced with sweet senoritas", Courtney's infectious melodies and spunky lyrics have made her EP "A Sea of Split" become ambushed by positive acclaim by international critics. Her Australian accent is obvious in her music and that just adds to her charm. It looks like she isn't even trying when producing her music but her talent is apparent and hopefully if the rest of the world have some sense and a good pair of ears, they will very soon become very fond of this 25 year old Melbourne native. Ive found it hard to find truly talented female artists out there that I'm passionate about and genuinely like all of their music. Courtney Barnett is one of the few female artists that has captured my attention and ill definitely be buying her EP. Her website is http://courtneybarnett.com.au/ so head there for more information and details on up and coming shows. For now, just sit back and enjoy her song "History Eraser" which by the way, was nominated for the APRA Song Of The Year in Australia alongside Tame Impala.
